Nasomatto Hindu Grass, 2007

Perfumer Alessandro Gaultieri

Hindu Grass, like the other perfumes in the Nasomatto line, are made in extrait concentration. The camphorous, thick patchouli has a strong presence close to the skin but does not leave much of a wake. There’s not a doubt in the world that this is a patchouli perfume, but it is not without subtlety. This is exactly where the extrait concentration is killer. You must be close enough to look the wearer in the eye to understand the intent of her perfume.

A brilliant modulation of the classic hippie patch. It reads like a hippie chick returning to the fold and going straight. She’s seen Paris and the the country club set know it.
